Hornby High School has helped me create a future by providing many opportunities to develop my leadership skills. Hornby High has been a great school for me as the teachers have pushed me to my limits and want me to achieve great results. Throughout my five years at Hornby I have been involved in many activities such as Peer Support, Hands-on Science, and outward bound and now Head prefect. At the end of the year i am may go to Waikato University to study computer sciences but I am also considering other options for my tertiary studies. Because of Hornby High School I have the confidence to do anything I set my mind to.

I have been proud to be a member of the Hornby High School community. During the course of my five years I have been given many opportunities such as visiting our sister school in Japan, a ten day voyage on the Spirit of New Zealand, attending Otago University for Hands-on Science, having an Ernst & Young mentor as well as many other leadership and sporting opportunities. Hornby High School has set me up with a solid foundation for my future. My tertiary plans for next year are still undecided as I have many pathways which I can follow due to the support and encouragement I have received from my teachers throughout the years. My memories and friendships will be with me forever.
